Interior Design in Malta

Layout, specification and the decisions that have to happen before first fix.

Interior design on a live project is mostly about timing. The layout decides where the sockets go, and sockets are first fix. The lighting plan decides where the ceiling is dropped, and that is the plasterer. A design agreed after those trades have been is a design that costs money to implement.

Bringing a designer in alongside the programme rather than before or after it means the specification arrives when each trade needs it, in the form they need it — not as a mood board handed to a tiler.

What this covers

What it costs

Interior design does not scale with floor area in any way that would survive contact with a real project — a small apartment with a complicated brief can take more work than a large villa with a simple one.

We do not publish a rate for this one. It is not priced per square metre in any way that would survive contact with a real property, and a number we cannot stand behind is worse than no number. It is quoted after the survey, itemised, before anything starts.

How it works

You deal with us, not with the trade. We survey, we quote a fixed price, we bring in the interior designers from the CheckYourTraders-verified network, and we manage the sequencing around every other trade on site. One point of contact, one contract, one invoice.

Questions people ask

Do I need a designer if I know what I want?
Not necessarily. Where it earns its money is in the decisions that have to be made early and cannot be revisited — layout, lighting, and where services run. If those are already settled, the rest is specification and we can take it from your choices.
Can you work with a designer I have already engaged?
Yes, and it is common. What we need is the specification in time for each trade, which usually means the schedule matters more than who wrote it.
When is the latest I can bring a designer in?
Before first fix, in practice. After that the layout is committed in the walls, and changing it means undoing finished work.
